Radha Krishna Mandir is the third oldest Hindu temple (Mandir) in the U.S. and the oldest on the West of Mississippi. It was conceived byGujarati Society Norwalk in 1978. The pran-prathista of the deities was done by Pujya Krishna Shankar Shastri.
This Mandir, may not have the grandeur or the vastness of many of the Mandir that were born later on, but being the oldest one on this side of the coast, for devotees who prayed here and came to this Mandir, time and again, on all important Hindu festivals and celebrations, have a special attachment to this Mandir. They find the love, the peace and the tranquility here and so they all come back to this Mandir – like a family member who will come back home at the end of the day, no matter where he or she may go during the day.
Hindu Festivities: Radha Krsihna Mandir is one of the very few Mandirs, that observes and celebrates every Hindu festival in its purest form and with the truest traditional rituals, on the very same day it falls as per the Hindu calendar here. It does not compromise the day for convenience so it can be celebrated on a weekend.
Our Vision: As our community keeps growing and so does our devotees. The ever growing faith and love of our devotees, have really outgrown the space of our Mandir and we are on the threshold of going through a major expansion of our Mandir. We are excited to Build the Mandir of our Dreams, so we could accommodate more devotees and provide them with more and better facilities.
Every Sunday enjoy the Bhajans Sandhya recited by our very own devotees. Aarti and Prasad to folllow. Please respect other devotees and limit your socialization away from main hall.
Constructive suggestions and comments are always welcome. Please park your car properly and help us to keep our Mandir and parking lot clean.
